Megan & Dustin
Boy was it hard to proof this set of wedding pics. Megan and Dustin gave us so much to work with, we were like two kids in a candy store. The space was nothing short of awesome, even from Eric’s professional architectural point of view, and it seemed to fit Megan and Dustin like a glove.
It did happen to be the type of day in Texas whereby one could fry an egg on the sidewalk, but you wouldn’t have noticed by the faces of everyone that day. Everyone was all smiles, in a great mood, and happy to be there. Quite possibly the happiest wedding party and guests we’ve ever shot…what a compliment to Megan and Dustin.
This happens to be our second opportunity to photograph Megan - we first met her (as a bridesmaid) last August while shooting her friend’s wedding in Colorado, and had a chance to meet Dustin at the reception that night as well. Much to our delight they wanted to fly us down to Austin to shoot their wedding, and why not? So many family members and guests traveled from afar to this wedding – seems like everyone was from a city at least 250 miles away, the priest, the parents, even Megan and Dustin themselves, so why not add a little Kansas City flavor to the mix? We were excited to be there to represent, and had been looking forward to this wedding for months.
This was the type of wedding we love to shoot. Not only because of the elements that made up the day, but because we truly enjoyed being around Megan and Dustin. Thanks so much you two – can’t wait to share the rest of the proof set with you.

June 15, 2007 | 6:46 am Katy Sturich[...] Katy and Matt invited us to share in their wedding in Colorado back in 2006, while shooting that crazy party we met with Megan and her then fiance Dustin. We like to think they were impressed by us, as they brought us to Austin for their special day. You may remember it as Eric was almost eaten whole by a Tarantula. Well, the running joke was who were they were going refer, and a couple months later Megan emailed us with the news that Amanda and TJ were interested. After tons of wishing and hoping the call came and we were off to DC. It was fun to get the chance to see Megan and Dustin again and have Dustin start another bet.
