Trash The Dress, Flood The Blog

Wow. What a response from our Trash the Dress post. We thought we’d get one or two takers, but have been pleasantly surprised with your responses!  Due to the number of responses, we’ve selected two brides that will receive a complementary TTD session.

You’ll be hearing from us soon if you’ve been selected!

We’d love to set up sessions for the rest of you but just can’t do them all for free (we have mouths to feed). So, for a limited time we’re offering TTD sessions for $200.  This includes the session, as well as a CD of hi-res files from your shoot to print at your discretion.  We’ll be scheduling the shoots for the month of August, so if you’ve expressed interest, we’ll get in touch with you soon!

Weddings

With this ring, I thee wed!

What a heartfelt ceremony at Powell Gardens last week.  Jenny and Julian blew us away.  Sometimes it’s about the hair and make up, sometimes it’s about the party afterwards, sometimes it’s about the honeymoon, and sometimes it’s just about getting through the day without an anxiety attack.  For Jenny and Julian it was about the promise they were about to make to one another, and all of the stuff in between just fell into place.

Hey!  We said no peeking!!

Like most couples, Jenny and Julian wanted to see each other before the ceremony to make the logistics of the day go a little smoother, so we set up a place to have them meet one another and see each other for the first time that day.  Jenny was so tickled; she couldn’t wait to see her beau!

Jenny’s parents were beaming!  Julian, a talented musician, composed the music for Jenny’s entrance into the chapel.  It got the tears a flowin’ on just about everyone there.

You should see the bites on Eric’s legs after this shot…

Yes, this is their cake, and yes, the entire thing was edible. Jenny even personally grew the wheat grass that the cake sat in. Nothing short of awesome, and a fitting selection for a wedding at Powell Gardens. This was the first wedding we shot where the bride DIDN’T want to cut the cake!  It’s easy to see why.
