And they call him HipHop

So our little guy started day care this week.  His best friend, HipHop the monkey, tagged along each day and reported back to Neal and I the events of the day!  On Friday Lincoln brought home his first piece of artwork….a LOVELY fingerpainting.  Who knew he would be so talented at smearing paint all over a piece of paper. Watch out Pollock.

  1. Very nice artwork, Lincoln! Your Mom and Dad need to hang it on the fridge or better yet, frame it. Who knows, one day you just might be a famous artist. I see the potential there. Eric’s first creations looked very similar. Keep on creating, Lincoln.

  2. Hey! Check it out! He takes after his awesome Aunt Amy! I’m so proud I can’t wait to teach him more about art!

Stephanie and Kyle’s wedding

We had a great time shooting Stephanie and Kyle’s wedding - a cute, young couple from Manhattan, KS, – both students at K-State.  One of our favorite moments of the day was the opportunity to take them out into a field and just play around – you know us….always loving the opportunity to deviate from the standard and use natural light.  The day tuckered us out though, with the Mercury-like conditions here on planet Kansas this summer.

Here’s a few pics from the day.  Enjoy!

Happy anniversary Katy and Matt

We set out on an 8 hour drive to Colorado for Katy and Matt’s wedding.  Although west Kansas is anything but scenic (unless the Flint Hills excite you), we got to the ceremony site and felt like every mile we drove was well worth it.  The ceremony took place at Katy’s family’s estate nestled in the foothills of Colorado – a beautiful location with the mountains in full view!

Katy and Matt have been awesome supporters of ours over the last year.

We can’t express how thankful we are for all of your referrals.  We hope you know it’s the biggest complement we can receive.  Hope to keep ‘running into you’ at our weddings in the future!

Thanks you guys, and happy anniversary!

A hungry groomsman…. he was having a ‘hay day’. (ha ha…nudge, nudge)

It had rained right before the ceremony, and right after, but not during!  Coincidence? We think not.

Definitely one of the craziest parties we’ve ever shot.  Dancing, keg stands, you name it, we witnessed it.

  2. [...] Katy and Matt invited us to share in their wedding in Colorado back in 2006, while shooting that crazy party we met with Megan and her then fiance Dustin. We like to think they were impressed by us, as they brought us to Austin for their special day. You may remember it as Eric was almost eaten whole by a Tarantula.  Well, the running joke was who were they were going refer, and a couple months later Megan emailed us with the news that Amanda and TJ were interested. After tons of wishing and hoping the call came and we were off to DC. It was fun to get the chance to see Megan and Dustin again and have Dustin start another bet. Between you and me, Dustin has no chance… [...]
