Execute the plan…

We got so lucky to pick up this couple. Kevin and Laura came to us in a little bit of a bind. Their original wedding plans had to be changed to accomodate Kevin’s deployment. How fortunate we were that they landed in our lap! This wedding was a blast and no detail was spared.

These two were such a pleasure to work with. They are the type of clients that make us so grateful to be able to do what we do as photographers, and the type of couple that we know will be drinking their Metamucil together on Bingo night in 60 years.

Thanks you two!

Einey Meiny Mieny Mo…Kevin, an Army Captain, spent hours getting his pins on correctly!

Laura’s mom made the bridesmaids dresses and also the ring bearers vest.

Check out the ring bearers pillow. In Kevin’s proposal he had said “execute the plan”. An Army thing we think? Laura surprised him and put it on the pillow.

If you give LemonLime a cookie, they’ll want a glass of milk

We came across a new tradition at Annie and Stephens wedding.  Bring on the cookies!! Stephens mom had to have spent countless hours in the kitchen to prepare for this wedding, as she baked over 4,000 cookies for the reception.  We’re not talking the standard chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin…..oh no….there were a variety of traditional Italian cookies. Some we’d never even heard of.

What a fun, anything-but-hoity-toity wedding.  Just real people, and real emotion…and you never would have known about all the hurdles they had to jump to get here!  A/C in the church was broken right up until the ceremony, florist passed away, original wedding photographer went MIA …plus the standard hurdles when trying to plan an event such as this.  It still turned out to be an awesome day in our eyes!

Here’s a few of our favorite pics.  Enjoy Annie and Stephen….you lovebirds you……

  1. These photographers were awesome! I knew Annie had made the right choice as soon as I saw them because I felt their passion from the start. It was like they were everywhere but you and your guest never saw them, these gentlemen are highly skilled on how to be successful using their talent but never being seen or heard, actions were seamless. It was very impressive how they gathered everyone when needed and captured moments that could had flashed by but instead we will be able to look back and enjoy these moments forever with their photograghs. Thank you to the photographers for treasuring our day just as much as we did!

So very grateful…

Despite what you all tell us, we really don’t think we’re that cool, and those of you that know us well can attest to that.  So when we receive your thoughtful handwritten thank you notes, and the emails from your mothers, and the referrals of your family and friends, we’re just in awe that we made such an impact on your lives.  We are so grateful to be part of an industry that provides us with the ability to share in such an intimate experience between two people, and their family, and we are constantly blown away by all of you that open yourselves up to us and give us so much to work with.  Our work would not be what it is without our subjects…..that’s you!

We were so humbled to find out that our work was featured on Don’t Box Us In, a big step for us, and we want to take this little blog space and let you know how grateful we are to have the privilege of working with all of you, because without you, we would not be where we are today.  So, thank you for going along with our crazy poses, thank you for stepping out of your boxes, thank you for braving 30 degree weather in your strapless dresses, and 110 degree weather when you’re in a tux, thank you for rolling in the leaves, and refusing to swat at the mosquito on your neck while you hold your pose for a long exposure. Thank you for just going along with it, and allowing us to wrap our creativity around you without constraints.  It is YOU that has carried us to where we are today.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
