Engagements

Apples, bananas, and arrowroot, this was the coolest engagement shoot…

It’s not exactly every photographers dream, but Neal finally got his wish to shoot in a grocery store….thanks to Sarah and Dustan’s laid back attitude about being stared at by the grocery shoppers.  A few unordinary things happened during this shoot. The most noteworthy being our discovery that we had a stalker, and the other that we had to weasel our way out of being arrested after shooting next to a local law firm….oops. But, we managed to get an awesome set of shots even though we only had 30 minutes of daylight to work with, and gave the wanna be cop something to do for the evening.

Check out our favorites!

Weddings

The red tambourine….

Shake shake shake……..shake shake shake…..shake your tambourine……shake your tambourine…..

Carrie and Dennis created a wedding day that fit the textbook definition of unordinary.  From the chapel, chosen for its old-world country charm, to the bride’s brothers for ‘bridesmaids’, to the homemade wine served at the reception, every bit of the day was a bit unorthodox.  The church was packed – standing room only – so many came to witness the special day! After the ceremony we had a good hour to spend with Carrie and Dennis alone…..an awesome opportunity to capture the essence of the day.  We wish all couples could schedule this time into their day!

Thanks guys for an awesome day and thanks for waiting so patiently for your sneak peek!

Dennis’ kickin’ bluegrass band played at the reception….and we got a little taste of his musical talents when he jumped in for a couple tunes….

Carrie put the ‘T’ in the tambourine Dennis gave her.  She was thrilled to get up there and play with it.

An udderly fun Halloween

Here’s a few pics of our little calf on his first REAL Halloween (didn’t quite count last year since he was only a month old).  We started with a little party at Vickie’s, Lincoln’s wonderful daycare provider. She had games and prizes and snacks…the whole bit!  Then we headed out for a little trick-or-treating at the neighbors homes.  At the end of the day we’re pretty sure Lincoln was thoroughly confused as to why us grown ups decided to make a day to dress up crazy and knock on doors asking for candy.

Hope everyone had a happy Halloween!

A little rolling in the grass and chewing our cud before trick-or-treating.

His first house – more interested in their little dog than the huge bowl of candy!
