With this dress, I thee trash

Not really. We actually managed to keep Lora’s dress in decent condition. Or maybe not….I’m sure we’ll hear the verdict after she gets it professionally cleaned! We went to town on this shoot, trying some new stuff, and stepping WAY out of the box. You know us, the big experimenters. Thanks Lora for being a wonderful subject (not to mention a wonderful guinea pig).

  1. What a wonderful experience! I had such a fantastic time! It was more fun than I had ever imagined. Ladies, I certainly recommend doing this. Putting that dress back on and getting sassy all over again was a unique feeling—but it was great fun to ‘play’ in the dress– not worrying about getting a little corn cob dust and dirt on it— and being able to be completely relaxed–no wedding day pressure or nerves! I got a little more dirt on the dress, but nothing the cleaner can’t take out—that dirt will be easier to remove than those red wine drips! Oh, and I must add that the weather being 60 degrees warmer than on our wedding day was a huge plus. Thanks Eric and Neal— I had a blast and will treasure these pics and the memories of the experience!

  2. My favorite is the 2nd one posted of the corn stalks. I love her ‘ah ha’ expression.

  3. Whoa! They are all incredible! My favorite is the one in front of the Orange Truck. Stunning!!! Both of you do incredible work but I am more amazed every time I see more pictures. Lora and I have known eachother since diapers and I know she is gorgeous but how you can make someone more stunning than they already are is amazing!! GREAT WORK!

And they call him HipHop

So our little guy started day care this week.  His best friend, HipHop the monkey, tagged along each day and reported back to Neal and I the events of the day!  On Friday Lincoln brought home his first piece of artwork….a LOVELY fingerpainting.  Who knew he would be so talented at smearing paint all over a piece of paper. Watch out Pollock.

  1. Very nice artwork, Lincoln! Your Mom and Dad need to hang it on the fridge or better yet, frame it. Who knows, one day you just might be a famous artist. I see the potential there. Eric’s first creations looked very similar. Keep on creating, Lincoln.

  2. Hey! Check it out! He takes after his awesome Aunt Amy! I’m so proud I can’t wait to teach him more about art!

Stephanie and Kyle’s wedding

We had a great time shooting Stephanie and Kyle’s wedding - a cute, young couple from Manhattan, KS, – both students at K-State.  One of our favorite moments of the day was the opportunity to take them out into a field and just play around – you know us….always loving the opportunity to deviate from the standard and use natural light.  The day tuckered us out though, with the Mercury-like conditions here on planet Kansas this summer.

Here’s a few pics from the day.  Enjoy!
