Engagements

Jessica & Tom

Sorry you to, but we have to talk about it.

When we met Jessica & Tom we had a great meeting. Talked about how they met, what day was going to be like, why they were interested in LemonLime. It was a really nice conversation. A couple minutes after they left Neal’s phone rings and it’s Tom, “Ah, our car won’t start, can you help?” You bet we can! So we headed down and gave them a little jump.

Now we don’t know if they selected us based on our work or if they liked us or if it was just because they felt they owed us for the jump start. We hope these images sealed the deal with why we were blessed to get some time with Jessica and Tom.

Oh, and yes, they brought Tom’s truck to the engagement session. We were totally ready though with jumper cables for a couple shots.

Side Note – There is nothing wrong with the car, it’s just that cars are cars and sometimes they like to make a wedding planning decision for you.

Engagements

Bree & Nick

Each of our couples has a unique sense of humor and each of our groom’s probably stick their foot in their mouth at least one time during an engagement session. Usually because they let their guard down and we get to know who they really are.

With Bree and Nick the time to get really comfortable with us was about 2 seconds. As you will witness by this first image. We found a couple of wooden animal heads on the floor of the barn. Nick didn’t have a lot of options since Bree let him choose which little animal he could be. Either he could be the Jack@$$ and make his soon to be spouse the Cow, or vice versa. This was probably the best option, because you never ever want to call the love of your life a Cow.

The sky was soo amazing that night. It was starting to get pretty cold though. Big time Thanks to Bree and Nick for braving the elements.

  1. This seriously cracks me up. I’ve been to the same spot and we played with the same cut-out heads. I guess great minds do think alike:)

Engagements

Nicole & Don

What is an engagement shoot really about? Is it about that picture for the newspaper? Well, no, it’s about learning what the connection is between our couples. We learn what jokes work, how the light sparkles in your eye, all that fun stuff.

So what lengths should one travel to make sure they have a rockin engagement session? Well, Google Maps says it’s 543 miles to Chicago. Yeah, that’s right, Eric made the trek to the windy city while Neal was having an addition to his family last month. And yes, before you ask, it is still LemonLime if it’s just one of us. We just have to pack that extra fruit into our luggage.

Nicole and Don showed Eric around their neighborhood and found some really cool places. It was a little cold and rainy that day, but they didn’t let that phase them. We are excited to another visit next year to what should now be known as the New Gotham. Yeah, The Dark Knight DVD goes on sale tomorrow baby!!
