Engagements

Is this seat taken?

Engagement sessions are a fun and an enjoyable way for us to get to know our clients a little better. We always encourage using different ways to incorporate their personalities into the shoot; making each image a unique view of them. We have had couples bring a pet along with them. We have had a couple request a special place, but we have never had a couple bring along their furniture. Well, maybe not furniture, more like old seats from Wrigley Field.

We had a great sunny afternoon exploring through Kansas City with Haley and Mark, and we even found a perfect place to sit, relax, and blow some bubbles just like we were back on Addison Street.

Now we just have to find someone to carry the chairs around on their wedding day…

Engagements

Cold Again??

What makes for a great engagement session?

Do you have freezing temperatures? Check. How about slushy and nasty roads? Check. Well, what about a biker bar with some strange characters? Double Check.

It does appear we have all the makings for a great shoot. Hopefully Tara and Chris agree.

Last weekend, the birth of Tara’s little nephew brought them from their somewhat warmer home in Oklahoma for some much needed family time and just a little fun with the LemonLime clan. We had a great time meandering through the slop exploring the raw side of Kansas City’s downtown.

  4. [...] What a beautiful day we had shooting Tara and Chris’s wedding. It was only fair after we made them brave the winter elements during their engagement shoot. The weather was perfect, the locations meaningful, the dress was stunning – that is once everyone remembered the to untie it before tying to put it on. So after a while of arms in the air and lots of lacing it was on, the day was off. [...]
