Rollin’ on Spinners

What a beautiful day we had shooting Tara and Chris’s wedding. I guess it was only fair after we made them brave the winter elements during their engagement shoot. The weather was perfect, the locations meaningful, the dress was stunning – that is once everyone remembered the to untie it before tying to put it on. So after a while of arms in the air and lots of lacing it was on, the day was off.

They were married at Danforth Chapel on KU’s campus, filled with an overflowing amount of family and friends. After a sweet ceremony, kisses exchanged, it was a quick dash under a canopy of sparklers and off to ride into the sunset in their spinner clad chariot (or maybe just a limo and the reception).

Chris had a little present for Tara to wear with her dress.

(Attention: Chris’s advise is not wait when booking a limo if your wedding is the same week as prom.)

Whoa! What day is it again?

Well, we’re back to what truly makes us LemonLime, Weddings!!  It’s been a long couple months without one and we sure were starting to miss that little rush that sometimes comes along with an emotional wedding.

When Cara and Kenny came to us, the told us the general idea for their wedding in a Pecan Grove and we were on board instantly. The day finally came and we drove down 69 Highway and saw the clouds and felt the cold misty air and were not completely sure they would go through with an outdoor ceremony. Oh, how we love our couples. So strong, so in love, and sooo not frazzeled by a little freezing wind.

This was a wedding full of love, full of family and friends, and the most toasts allowed by law. Seriously, we lost count at 10. It just goes to show you how a couple in love rubs off on those around them. You could see it all around the room and everyone wanted to make sure they wished the happy couple all the best.

We can now check a couple more items off our list to do at weddings. Wear a stocking hat during the ceremony and watch guys in suits push an SUV out of a ditch.

  1. These shots are awesome. Some of the only pictures I’ve seen of the day so far. My favorite is of course my beautiful wife standing in by the tree. So hot. Thanks so much guys!

  2. neal, your comment made me happy. but the I jumped over here and saw these images and they REALLY made me happy – this day is beautiful, and although it was freezing, these look so peaceful – absolutely lovely. I could just eat the one of the bride and her father being framed by the trees, it’s so delicious!!!! and also, way to bring in da noise with those group shots. lovely.
