Mallory & Peter

Mallory and Peter came to us from the windy city. We have of course been to Chicago a few times to shoot weddings and will be going there again next year. So when we got the call from Mallory about her date we were intrigued. After a few phone calls and lots of questions in both directions we decided this was a story we wanted to witness.

We met a few days prior for the first time and even went out for about 10 minutes after for a little mock engagement session. Our hope was to get a couple good images in non wedding attire, but also to get an idea of how these two would react to the camera. It was a success and we learned everything we needed to know. More on that later…

As the day arrived so did the clouds, while that may have dashed the enthusiasm of some it did not between Mallory and Peter. We had to stay near the patio for some of our portraits because of the rain, but the Hawthorne House is a pretty nice backdrop.

Well, enough talking, let’s get to the images…

Most of the details brought to you by Mallory’s Mom and the letter “G” and then number “2”. (Sorry, Sesame Street on the brain.)

Over the course of a day we are witness to many things, some should never go into a blog post, but some are just to funny not to…

In the foreground these are Mallory’s parents, we will not discuss what they were doing as their daughter was toasting. We’ll just keep that our little secret. ;-)

This was the scene before our teaser post… Light ‘em up!

  1. Wowzers! You guys rocked this one. I love how the feel of the photos is very consistent and yet different…so custom for your clients. This wedding will make a beautiful album! They’ve got to be thrilled. The dancing, the bubbles and the veil shots are my favs.

Eric, Personal

What else?

So what other projects do you work on? We get that question all the time.

Both of our ‘Day Jobs’ help us with our collaboration, so we thought we would give a little glimpse of the detail that goes into some of our work. Eric has several architectural shoots per month and here are some of his recent jobs.
