Jen & Andrew – Wedding

Jennifer and Andrew had planned ever detail and moment of their wedding to be spectacular. From custom dresses, wood and moss table runners, to handmade mahogany columns to make the wedding alter, it was a day rich in their designer talents. But what no one had planned on was the downpour of rain that came. There was one moment that showed us a glimpse of what this day would become. Andrew, while helping the dog Snacks into his jeep had his suit slip from the hanger and fall into a puddle of mud; this while he and Jennifer were on the phone together. After some choice words for the hanger, Jennifer took a deep breath and just did what makes their relationship uniquely them. They calmed each other down just by their simple words and tone of their voices, and worked through it. As luck would happen, Andrew was using his own tailor made suit for the wedding and his original one was still nicely hung in his closet. It was in that moment as they talked about this last challenge was when we knew our day would be great no matter rain or shine. And that it was.

Each Bridesmaid dress had a custom designed collar.

Check out Andrew in action building these columns over on his site with Acrongym Designs.

Katie & Mike – Wedding

Katie and Mike had some amazing weather for their day and we got to play around at the Boulevard Brewery. It’s a shame we have been there a couple times this year and have not been able to partake in the frothy goodness.

Congratulations you guys and we hope you spend many many years together.

Many thanks to Megan from Soiree Event Designs and also Branches and Twigs for helping make the day beautiful.

Emily & Pete – Wedding

Emily and Pete got married in Lawrence a couple days after a really fresh snowfall. That snow made for an excellent backdrop for their wedding.

As technology brings us all closer, a little hint should your grandparents not be able to make it to your wedding. Just Skype the ceremony so they can feel like they were there.

There is a little tradition in Emily’s family where they fight over bread to see who will be the dominate one in the relationship. We won’t post any pictures of anyone cheating..

Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” took over some of the conversation of the day. When the time came, there were more than enough people that knew the correct moves.
