Gretchen & Sean – Wedding

We were very excited to get a call last spring about a couple from Ohio that wanted to have us come out for their wedding. After many discussions we had all the details of a great location and a wedding with first class style. Gretchen and Sean, thank you for asking us to document your first day together as a couple.

Hydro74 vs. Vahalla Studios

The little video before you is what happens when one of the top illustrators sends his most recent creation to Vahalla Studios to get printed. Be sure to check out all the great work from Joshua M. Smith, aka Hydro74.

So where can you go to find out more information about Hydro74?

His shop is here. He tweets like mad here.

What is that amazing song in the video? The name is ‘Static’ by Kansas City’s very own Maps for Travelers. Be sure to check out their new album, Regress|Progress, which was released late last year. Thanks so much guys for letting us use it for the video.

  5. Neal. This is awesome. Although I do not know a ton about video, and I’m not going to act like I do, I do know this is good. Here’s why: the process of that particular screen print was conveyed beautifully. It was all about the details/work of the art. And as an Art Ed. major I love seeing the process of things are made. Most often people don’t understand how one gets a creative idea from the mind to a finished product, so that’s awesome. I also think editing of your shots as well as the crescendo of the music is def. in tandem with the process. The beginning steps of making first “mold” for printing is slow & methodical, then BAM the mass printing production is hit with a high energy song. Very nice. : )

Allison & Ben – Wedding

We love traveling to tell our couples stories. It gives us a chance to explore new places and challenges us with the unfamiliar. Allison and Ben had fall wedding in Denver Colorado. A new stop on LemonLime’s wedding journey. Through lots of conversations, emails, and a fun engagement session we got to know exactly what their personalities and love was all about. Bold, fun, modern and glamorous – all set to the soundtrack of lady gaga. We touched down in Denver and went exploring to find locations to tell their story. The wedding day came and we picked up our cameras and started shooting for the next 14 hours. This is what happened:

To us, great wedding photography needs to extend well beyond 60 images for a blog post or album, it should be the entire proof set. Hundreds of images all unique and all driving at telling the same story. Last November, fresh off of proofing Allison and Ben we spoke at the Foundation Conference. To explain this idea, we shared with the audience of the world’s best wedding photojournalists 350 proofs from their day. Now it’s your turn to see what just a glimpse of a LemonLime wedding can be:

Thank you Allison and Ben for bringing the Awesome to your day!
