The rest of the story….

Day 1 – Monday
Our story begins with a boy. Let’s call this boy, say… Eddie. Well, Eddie saw this girl at work. We’ll call her Meghann. He liked this girl, but was a little too shy to ask her out. Their paths crossed daily, but yet they did not know they both were going to be meant for each other.

Day 2 – Tuesday
Our boy had a plan. He was going to make her a CD of songs that expressed his thoughts about her. He set out on this search for songs that expressed his true feelings. He could not find any more powerful than one – Billy Joel’s, “The Longest Time”. It seemed to be written just for him. He had a friend, dress as a delivery boy with a clipboard, rose, and the song deliver it to the unexpecting Meghann.

Meanwhile, our girl had been thinking about a boy; just so happens it was that same boy she worked with. With no words about who this was from she ran to her car to listen. What came from the speakers was a song she had been listening to for the longest time.

Day 3 – Wednesday

As their love grew, their paths would split. Eddie was off to California to film school, and Meghann was without her boy. After time passed and phone conversations grew too few and far between, Eddie knew the time had come back to his girl. With her always in his mind, his decision was simple.

Day 4 – Thursday
Our couple has been reunited. Their love had never been diminished, just separated by time and mountains and miles.

Eddie now knew it was time to ask his question and to never let them separate again. Over a parking lot picnic, in the very sample place the CD was heard, the question was asked.
